Bolly hotties in bikini-tops

Nothing highlights the killer curves of Bollywood babes better than a bikini-top. Here are some actresses who threw conventions to the wind and dared to bare in a bikini.

The queen of the marquee Katrina Kaif is yet to be seen in a bikini on the silver screen, but she did opt for a bikini top in one of her movies, looking upbeat as always.

Kim Sharma has body perfect for a bikini. Here she sets the temperatures soaring in a black bikini top as she poses in her confident best.

Dusky-beauty Kashmira Shah stepped into a bikini to grab eyeballs for reality show 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao', but the big bang ended in a whimper.

Celina Jaitley is known more for her oomph than her acting prowess. The babe knows that she’s got the right body and loves to flaunt it.

Lara Dutta’s already stirred a buzz about her bikini avatar in the upcoming movie 'Blue'. Fans are eagerly awaiting her under-water scenes in the movie.

She is the latest to join the bikini brigade. Who could have imagined the girl-next-door Rani Mukherjee to bow to the bikini and flaunt her oomph factor!

Amrita Arora went a step ahead of sis Malaika Arora Khan and opted for some bold scenes in bikini in the movie 'Kambhakkt Ishq'.

Hot bod and ravishing looks -- Sophie Chaudhary brings out her soft feminine side in a bikini-top.

Payal Rohatgi, touted the next item girl of B'wood, loves to show off her perfect body in a bikini.

Siren Sherlyn Chopra does not need any introduction. She’s charmed her way through to many hearts with her sexy charm and dare-to-bare attitude.

She is among those actresses who could not make it big in B'wood, but Hrishitaa Bhatt still rules as far as beauty and a hot bod matters.

I]Minissha[/I]'s spunk and sassiness in an itsy-bitsy black number will drive you wild. The hot babe has become a rage following her splendid performance and hot bikini scenes in 'Kidnap'.

Amrita Rao has gone for a complete image changeover and taken a short cut in literal sense. Her girl-next-door look from 'Vivah' is replaced with a more hot, sexy and ravishing look in 'Shortkut' where she sports a bikini-tops on the beaches of Mauritius.

Controversial b'wood movie posters

These days anything can spin off a controversy. Recently Karan Johar’s film Kurbaan was mired in controversy. Also when Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail got into trouble (because of Neil's nude scene), the censor board had to be summoned

Even A R Rahman's first Hollywood venture after Slumdog Millionaire, a film titled Couple's Retreat is at the centre of a race controversy after two black actors were removed from the movie poster, to promote the film in Britain.

With so many controversies brimming, it reminded us of other movies which got into trouble because of their posters. Lets take a look...

1. Julie:

What Kareena did in Kurbaan was done by Neha in Julie way back in 2004. Unlike Kareena, who had the support of Karan Johar and beau Saifoo, Neha had to face the wrath of opposers all by herself. Although before Julie was released Dilip Banerjee, a member of the Central Board of Film Certification, did say the movie "is based on a solid theme and its fit for an Oscar award".

2. Fire:

While in Hollywood homosexuality or bi-sexuality is not a big deal, in Bollywood it is. The same happened with Deepa Mehta's film which focused on a lesbian relationship between two sister-in-laws. Although it was not as much about movie-poster as it was about lesbianism, nonetheless every theater which had these posters were vandalised

3. Runway:

When a model wears a cross its fashion but when Bollywood wears a cross, its blasphemy! The filmmakers Sunil-Praful found themselves at the receiving end of some threatening calls. Why? Because some were offended with the poster of the film that showed its lead actor with a gun in one hand and the cross on the other!

4. Heroes:

There was no 'intolerance' problem over here. It was more like a problem of plagiarism. When the movie poster of Heroes was released it immediately reminded everyone of Lage Raho Munnabhai. Although Samir Karnik, the director of Heroes, publicly denied the media’s so-called allegation, he did not deny the resemblance.

5. Girlfriend:

Although Girlfriend had genuinely a different love triangle the lesbianism angle didn’t go down well with protesters. They were so irate that they tore down almost all the posters and the banners.
